Jean-Michel Ponzio quickly developed an interest in illustration. Indeed, at the age of 18 months he already holds a pencil and draw. A few years later, he decided to pursue his studies in graphic design advertising. He first made ​​a general all round and reaches a Technician Certificate layout designer that gets to the Lycée Marie Curie Marseille in 1985. He followed with studies of advertising communication at the Higher National School of Applied Arts and Crafts (ENSAAMA) in Paris in 1986. After graduation, he took the path of the benches in Toulouse Jolimont school to obtain a vocational diploma in visual expression, "images of communication" option in 1989. Winning a contest the first video work organized by Canal + in 1990, he directed his first short film "Return" which is awarded the following year at the Festival of Gerardmer. In 1991, he completed his military service at the CRDP of Toulouse, where he designed his first computer graphics and traditional illustrations for all productions. It also uses the audiovisual center for the realization of personal dramas. Thereafter, he completed a seven-month training at the National Centre of Comics and Image in Angoulême and directed the short film "Futuropolis" to obtain a diploma in digital imaging. In 1993, he acted as assistant trainer profession and performs other short films in 3D.
